Write Down Your Goals
Writing down your goals is essential.
Zig Ziglar wrote to me that only 3% of people write down their goals in an organized way. If you write down your goals, you are much more likely to accomplish them. Review your goals regularly, and check them off as you achieve them. Always add new goals too. It is amazing to see what happens when you write down your goals.
On January 1, 2005, I wrote down 101 goals for my life. I also wrote a list of specific goals for this year. Here’s some of what I accomplished in the first seven months after writing down my goals: studied tornadoes and saw one live, learned about investing in the stock market, met Prince Edward of England, got a new Dell computer (I won the grand-prize drawing at Armand Morin’s Big Seminar!), did missions work here in Mississippi, learned about Internet marketing, launched my first website, gained experience in public speaking, took my first airplane flight, and traveled to Peru to help a missionary friend.
I challenge each of you to write down your own goals. Make long-term goals and short-term goals, and don’t limit them to what you’re pretty sure you can do. Think big!
To your success!
