Thinking big is an important part of your attitude. One person who has taught me the most about having big dreams is Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series with Jack Canfield. Their audio series, The Aladdin Factor, is a great resource for learning how to ask good questions and have big dreams.

When I wrote down my goals, I didn’t just list things I was pretty sure I could do. I included some pretty big dreams, such as making a billion dollars, winning The Apprentice, doing archaeology work in Egypt, and being governor of Mississippi.

So when you write down your own goals (you are writing them down, aren’t you?), be sure to dream big!

To your success!

Writing down your goals is essential.

Zig Ziglar wrote to me that only 3% of people write down their goals in an organized way. If you write down your goals, you are much more likely to accomplish them. Review your goals regularly, and check them off as you achieve them. Always add new goals too. It is amazing to see what happens when you write down your goals.

On January 1, 2005, I wrote down 101 goals for my life. I also wrote a list of specific goals for this year. Here’s some of what I accomplished in the first seven months after writing down my goals: studied tornadoes and saw one live, learned about investing in the stock market, met Prince Edward of England, got a new Dell computer (I won the grand-prize drawing at Armand Morin’s Big Seminar!), did missions work here in Mississippi, learned about Internet marketing, launched my first website, gained experience in public speaking, took my first airplane flight, and traveled to Peru to help a missionary friend.

I challenge each of you to write down your own goals. Make long-term goals and short-term goals, and don’t limit them to what you’re pretty sure you can do. Think big!

To your success!

Hi, I’m Forrest. I’ve been homeschooled all my life, and I really enjoy it.

As part of my education, I’ve been attending conferences for entrepreneurs with my mom since I was 11. Homeschooling gives me the freedom and flexibility to travel all over the country and learn from top business experts.

I named my blog EntrepreneurInTraining for two reasons:

First, when I attended my first business conference at age 11, I had a business card with just my name, e-mail, and the words “Entrepreneur in Training.” I made a point of meeting every speaker there and giving each one of them my card, and as a result I’ve become friends with several of the speakers.

Second, when I told public speaking guru John Childers that I was ready to stop being in training and start being an entrepreneur for real, he reminded me that entrepreneurs never stop being in training. Even the most famous and successful marketers continue to invest in their own education every year so they can keep growing their businesses.

I look forward to sharing what I’m learning about business, entrepreneurship, and success as I continue my work and training as an entrepreneur.

To your success!
