What is an RSS Feed?

RSS feeds provide a way to get updates on your favorite blogs. According to FeedBurner "RSS is a standard for publishing regular updates to web-based content. Using this standard, Web publishers provide updates, such as the latest news headlines or weblog postings."

Visit Feedster tutorials to learn more about how RSS feeds work.

How to Subscribe to an RSS Feed

You can subscribe to RSS feeds by downloading an RSS reader. When you click on an orange XML button (XML button) copy the URL in the address bar of your browser and paste it into your RSS reader. Or if you are a user of sites such as My Yahoo!, My MSN or Bloglines you can click on special links (shown on the right side of our blog pages) to subscribe to the RSS feed. Here is an example of what those "special links" look like on our site:

Browse to your favorite blog and click on one of the feed links (shown above) to start your subscription.
